What happens if my birthday is February 29?
In non-leap years, your next birthday is treated as falling on the nearest equivalent date; the day and total-days counts are still calculated from the real calendar.
Why does the total days count differ slightly from years × 365?
Because leap years add an extra day roughly every four years, the exact total depends on how many leap years fall within your lifetime, not a flat 365-day average.
